INFORMATION LIMITATIONS
Available reporting provides substantial information about the fatal assault, the couple's recent separation, and the criminal case but comparatively little information about the relationship before July 2018. No reviewed source establishes prior IPV against Amy, a protective order, prior IPV-related system contact, stalking, threats to kill, coercive control, or other pre-homicide risk indicators. These circumstances remain unknown rather than absent.
TRANSPARENCY / RECORD NOTE
Contemporary law-enforcement reporting documented Amy and Matthew Solice's separation before the homicide, the presence of their young son during the fatal assault, and Matthew's admission to investigators that he strangled Amy.
