THE RECORD
During the early morning of July 14, 2022, Broward Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a 911 hang-up call from a Tamarac residence. Deputies made contact with a child inside the home and ultimately found Marké Gardner and Russell Gardner deceased in the kitchen. Investigators determined that Russell had shot Marké multiple times before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Four children, ranging in age from 5 months to 11 years, were found unharmed inside the residence.
