RESOURCE ROUTE
I’VE LEFT / WE’RE SEPARATED
Continued safety, stalking, harassment, protective orders, documentation, children or coparenting concerns, financial recovery, housing, and ongoing support.
Leaving or separating can be a major step, but it does not always end the need for support. Some people experience continued unwanted contact, harassment, stalking, threats, financial control, legal conflict, or abuse involving children after a relationship ends.
Others may simply need help rebuilding stability after leaving. Whether separation happened yesterday or years ago, support remains available.
IMPORTANT CONTEXT
You are still entitled to support after the relationship ends. You do not have to be living with or currently dating someone for their behavior to be concerning. If a former partner is threatening, following, monitoring, repeatedly contacting, or otherwise frightening you, a domestic violence advocate can help you consider your options and develop an individualized safety plan.
